MĀNOA HONEY & MEAD, a commercial honey and mead production business is hiring motivated / experienced / creative beekeeper! On top of conventional beekeeping, we are adding a creative value to the work of beekeeping. Not only to harvest honey, but to harvest "beauty", " art" and "knowledge" - the conceptual side of beekeeping and share the idea to our community through our farm tours. Job Summary:

Responsible for general hive maintenance such as; honey and bee pollen harvest, integrated pest management and periodical field maintenance. A lead host for our experience tour “Bees to Mead” on a weekly basis. A person who has passion about beekeeping, knowledge of biology and beekeeping and great communication skills to host and share the stories at the farm tour will be a great fit.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Maintain beehives, harvest honey and bee pollen.

• Varied warehouse tasks on a day to day basis.

• Yard maintenance and carpentry work.

• Operate forklift and pickup and deliver supplies.

• Host our “Bees to Mead” farm tour (No experience needed, will train).

Requirements:

• Experience in a beekeeping operation

• Self motivated and great communication skills

• Creative thinking, good work ethic, and have positive attitude

• Able to work outside in hot environment

• Have clean driving record

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience
